The 2012 IdeasPark is coming to Essen
Technology experience being held at Messe Essen and Grugapark from August 11 to 23 The IdeasPark, the technology and education summit, will take place in the heart of the Ruhr: From August 11 to 23, an area of 60,000 square meters at the Essen Exhibition Center (Messe Essen) and Gruga Park will be given over to the fascination of technology. There will be something for the whole family, and admission is free on all days. The IdeasPark is being organized by the ThyssenKrupp Group with support from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and more than 120 partners from research, science, education and business and is expected to attract around 400,000 visitors.
The goals of the IdeasPark are to spark enthusiasm for technology and innovation, encourage technical creativity and let visitors see for themselves the importance of new technical developments for the future. Against the background of global population growth, climate change, increasing raw material consumption and dwindling resources, we need responsible, well-educated people to meet the challenges involved.
