Jon Rea, a policymaker partner of the Nottingham City Partnership in PLACES, discusses his vision for the Nottingham Local Action Plan. Rea and his colleague, Karen Moss, also lead the PLACES Thematic Working Group on Young People and Science Careers. Getting more young people on the road to careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) is a main focus of the Nottingham City Partnership in PLACES.

Ultimately its people who make the difference. Even with major policy issues at the international level. Her lab concentrates on zoonoses which are diseases that jump the species barrier from animal to human. They are a major threat to human security and health.
